OSHA's construction sanitation standard sets minimum ratios based on the number of workers. For up to 20 workers, one toilet is required. For 20 or more workers, the standard calls for one toilet seat and one urinal per 40 workers, and for 200 or more workers, one toilet seat and one urinal per 50 workers. These are minimums, and providing more can reduce downtime as crews grow.

Handwashing is part of the picture too. OSHA requires access to handwashing facilities where workers handle hazardous substances, and providing handwashing stations alongside toilets is good practice on nearly any site. It supports hygiene, reduces illness, and keeps the site looking professional.
